Speak ChatGPT or Fall Behind

In many jobs, not being proficient in navigating ChatGPT or similar Generative AI tools – or in
other words, “not being able to speak ChatGPT” soon will mean employees and companies fall
behind! Obviously, we can be biased working in this space, but at the core, we are management
consultants, and from that stance, Generative AI is just an opportunity too big to pass up.

Let’s explain what we mean by speaking ChatGPT. We think that the ability to work with these
tools can be compared with language skills – we all know how hard it can be if you don’t
command the Danish or English language and writing in Denmark/Europe. In many professions,
not being proficient in navigating ChatGPT – shortly will be analogous to being linguistically
crippled. And we don’t think it is an exaggeration, albeit at first glance, some may think so.

Using Generative AI/LLMs in the ‘day-to-day’ is moving up the agenda in many companies. That
then presents the ‘how’ question as not all find it easy to execute on. Here at ENGAGE, we
highly recommend just getting started – now! The best, fastest, and cheapest way is to support
the idea that things grow “bottom up” in your organization by encouraging anyone who expresses
an interest to just go ahead (which some probably already do…but just are not telling everyone
yet).

So where to start? Ask anyone in your team to list their top 3 most boring tasks they perform on a
regular basis, and then crack it with the usage of Generative AI – you will be surprised how easy
it is as these things often do not call for massive initial training or business case approvals or the
like. On the contrary, it can start today and have an immediate impact. And hey, dare we say this,
“you may end up getting time to have a look at the stuff that sits on your ‘to do’ list…or, actually
go home on time…"

So if anyone is in doubt, the call to action here is: go learn how to speak ChatGPT (or Gemini, or
Copilot'is, or Claude'is, or, or or...) !
